The gardens at Queen Elizabeth Park are an excellent location for any engagement proposal during all seasons. The views of Vancouver from the elevated position are great. The water fountains make for an original background. There is lots of greenery for the photographer to hide behind in the beginning to capture the walk and big proposal moment. This means that the photos from the walk and the proposal can be shot secretly and kept a secret from her until a special day weeks later. One week after the event the photos from the formal portrait session after the proposal once introductions are made can be shared right away. Doing the photography this way leads to more excitement for the couple as she is surprised to receive prints of the proposal that she does not know exists until for example Christmas morning, family dinner or anniversary.
