Whistler resort hosts many annual events during all seasons. These photos are from the 2012 World Ski And Snowboard Festival. The spectators are enjoying the Slopestyle Finals being held on Blackcomb mountain. Even as of April 20th there was still fresh powder snow at the upper elevations of Blackcomb mountain. The lady in the second photos is really enjoying the new snow as she tumbles down the side of a spectator viewing area slope. It was a great day with sunshine and excellent ski competition. I was taking photographs for the local newspapers and travel guides. It was nice to be up in the alpine with the natural mountains as the background.
