Whistler, BC, Canada is home to many Black Bears that live in the woods of the surrounding areas. During the fall season they are located lower down in the valley and provide some great photos in the fall colors. These photos were taken in the Callaghan Valley area next to the Olympic Park for Nordic Skiing and Ski Jump. I shot these photos with a 400 MM lens so I was able to stand far away from the Black Bears. There were many Black Bears in the Callaghan Valley today as the fall season comes to a close. I am told that the Black Bear featured in these two photos is a Cinnamon style Black Bear and that is why the bear's coat color is not pure black and has some color to it. It was a great photo shoot in the quiet and very natural areas surrounding Whistler resort.
